UK-based Lark Energy has made two key appointments to help oversee the continued development of its North American business.

Lark Energy’s US operation is based on the East Coast of the United States and has an office in Maryland staffed by a new project manager, land and planning consultants and two land agents, one local, who will work to bring sites forward for development.

Emma Rafaluk has been appointed as vice president of Lark Energy’s US business with responsibility for overseeing all American operations. Emma has been working in senior development roles in the sustainable energy industry for almost a decade and has substantial experience in managing the development of complex energy projects including wind farms.

Isaac Bainbridge, a graduate in Environmental Science and Policy from the University of Maryland, joins Lark Energy USA as project manager to provide a link between the US consultants and the Lark Energy senior management team based in the UK.

Isaac’s role is to ensure that project development proceeds in a smooth and timely fashion by overseeing the completion of the consultants’ assigned tasks, reporting to Emma Rafaluk and the senior management team.

The Maryland-based operation is promoting Lark Energy’s sustainable energy and solar power solutions to, in the first instance, assist in farm diversification and energy generation in rural areas especially among chicken farmer and local communities along the East coast of the US in Delaware and Maryland.

Commenting on the new USA management team appointments Paul Adams, joint managing director of Lark Energy, said: “Lark Energy USA is tasked with bringing forward development sites on the East Coast of the USA for solar farms. The VP and project manager appointments will provide the business with a team well placed to deliver subsidy-free solar power generation projects in North America.”

Lark Energy and Lark Energy USA are part of The Larkfleet Group of Companies. The group has wide-ranging expertise and commercial success in energy generation and delivery.
